Rosemary is wonderful herb to build strength and resilience. A beautiful herb to grow, if planted in well-drained soil, against a sunny wall, it will reward you with spikes of evergreen leaves and delicate blue flowers throughout the Spring, that the early Bees and Butterflies will love.
Long associated with ‘Remembrance’ – Rosemary has been used to strengthen the memory of a special occasion by weaving it into the celebrations, for example guests at a wedding being greeted with a branch of Rosemary, or a Bride having it weaved into her hair. Equally it is used to honor and remember the dead with love and fondness, by being burnt as an incense or cast upon the coffin.
Magically Rosemary is excellent for protecting a space from negative energies (you should plant one by your front door) and is good for building strength and clearing the mind. This very easy fresh herbal tea, will give you a cleansing, strengthening boost, and is good for before an important occasion.
- Two thumb size piece of fresh Ginger
- 1 good size sprig of fresh Rosemary
- 2 teaspoons of Honey (depending on how sweet you like things)
- 2 slices of Lemon
I like to give the fresh ingredients a little bash with the pestle and mortar, just to help the oils release and then top up with fresh boiled water. This will make a small teapot, and enough for 1 big mug or 2 small cups.
